We are gathered today to remember a historic event for our country.
100 years ago our ancestors began what became known as the Mexican Revolution.
aspirations since then were better living conditions, land, work ... freedom!
Teachers, parents, general public and especially students:
invitation today, is to know our history, reflect, learn what went wrong in the past in order not to repeat.
would be inaccurate to say that the revolution started in 1910 has ended. No doubt many claims are still pending until today.
However, we are left in memory of those brave men and women 100 years ago embarked on a struggle to change their fate, we have in our minds the ideals of those men and women who envisioned a better world. The decision of thousands of Mexicans who spoke out, machetes and guns to demand better governance.
truthfully would repeat that the revolution started in 1910 is consummated, to us to from our trenches follow the ideals that led to 100 years ago the movement starts.
From school, from work, from home, from the factory ... from the field, from our person, from our families to our community we are called upon to contribute for a better Mexico.
In this centennial of the revolution ...
We are called not only to remember the story as an isolated incident of our present, but to make history from our own trenches.
Thank you and good morning.
