From Kigali to Haiti - People around the world is ready for the World Environment Day
May 26, 2010 - From Hollywood stars to the school, millions of people on every continent will take action for the planet 5 June for World Environment Day.
Under the slogan "Many species. A planet. A future", this year's event will celebrate the incredible diversity of life on Earth as part of International Year of Biodiversity 2010.
The host this year's world is Rwanda - a country of exceptional biodiversity has made great strides in environmental protection issues - will lead the celebrations with three Opening day events.
will be organized thousands of events around the world from Hong Kong to Abidjan, with beach cleanups, concerts, exhibitions, film festivals, community events and more.
This is the program that the UN is aware that will take place .... however ... what will you do specifically to keep in mind that day?
Well, I hope to take some commitment, this is a permanent cause, not just one day, but our daily actions with the special emphasis on this day we can empower and involve others on this topic.
I hope you will encourage, and can motivate others to be aware of the environment that welcomes us on our planet, it is the responsibility of each and every one of us.
Every gesture, every action we take, will join someone else's, and together we can take a step towards meeting environmental sustainability.
