Platform for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of the Citadel will meet with the Board and the Town Hall.

Platform this week held a round of institutional contacts with the various administrations involved in the rehabilitation of our main landmark, having already served one month of the meeting of the Monitoring Committee held on 1 October.

First, the Platform has been in contact with the Ministry of Housing to remind you that after the meeting of the Commission, the Housing Secretary General himself has committed publicly to the media to "bid on four or five weeks and the emergency procedure by the proposed partial rehabilitation of a section of wall between the doors of cars and Alpéndiz." However, we have not obtained Response by the Ministry, and more worryingly, it has not become any news regarding this project required the partial rehabilitation.

For its part, the Platform last Thursday met with the Director General of Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Junta de Extremadura, in order to establish a direct channel of collaboration allow this platform to be present at the execution of the partial rehabilitation project. Finally, the Platform on Friday met with the Councillor for Tourism, D. Germain López Iglesias. The municipal representative to the Platform was the basic ideas that will turn the tender overall rehabilitation project of the Alcazaba, a role that corresponds to the Council as agreed at the meeting of the Monitoring Committee.
